When you are attempting to land on the beach, Landing Craft and Amphibious Sherman and all, 90% of your units form a cluster with very little mobility. The difference, you might ask… there are no beach landings. However, the NEW FLIGHT PLAN expansion was loads of fun just a few yards west of Utah on the American Airborne map. It was no fun at all, at least in my experience. It’s just too easy to mow the Allied units on the water.

It’s just a home rule.īoth my opponents and I are of the opinion that the aeroplanes destroy any hope and chances for the Allies on beach landing scenarios. Will not be using NEW FLIGHT PLAN on Omaha, nor Utah, but we’re gunna let the birds fly on the 13th turn on the American Airborne map. We’ve been playing all three maps individually, but will soon tackle all 3 maps together as one battle. My German bombers were constantly dropping bombs on static ground units trying to land, and as the Allies, a bit ridiculous. It’s not much fun from the Axis side either -at least for me- as it became just too easy and the challenge was no longer there. I can attest that it has not been much fun to combine aeroplanes with Omaha and Utah, especially if you are playing the Allies. From my experience, playing Omaha Beach and Utah Beach with the NEW FLIGHT PLAN expansion, has not been a good idea.

I’ve been playing a lot lately and have been using the NEW FLIGHT PLAN on beach landing scenarios.
